MONTREAL – As Montrealers fumed about fare hikes and repeated métro breakdowns, several of the Société de transport de Montréal’s top managers were enjoying big pay raises last year. The salaries of 12 top STM managers jumped by more than 10 per cent in 2012 compared with 2011, according to a Gazette analysis based on information obtained under access-to-information. The data pertain to the STM’s “extended executive committee” — the agency’s 40 or so highest-paid employees. Salaries range between $120,000 and almost $300,000.
