Le Canada, et à plus forte raison le Québec, ne sont-ils pas immunisé contre ce phénomène, qui a divisé et affaibli la société laïque aux États-Unis ? Soigneusement documenté, l’ouvrage de Marci McDonald fait état d’une vision extrême de la chrétienté. Il montre à quel point la droite religieuse influence actuellement le discours politique au Canada, et comment cette influence a déjà provoqué des changements radicaux dans les politiques et les institutions fédérales, y compris la fonction publique et les cours de justice.
